Classroom Our certified Red Cross instructors demonstrate, share slides, and facilitate learning activities among participants. Each participant will finish this course with the confidence and skills needed to be an outstanding babysitter.​ ​Description: All babysitters should be prepared in order to keep themselves, and the children they watch, safe. Our Babysitting course allows youth ages 11-15 to learn from a certified Red Cross instructor. ​Even more, our course is more comprehensive than other babysitting courses, ensuring that you have a well-rounded knowledge on what to do in case of an emergency. Our instructor will teach you how to manage difficult behaviour, will provide important content on how to be a leader and a professional, and will give you an in-depth run down on necessary First Aid skills to make sure you are prepared for anything and everything. After successfully completing the course, students will receive a Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Certificate that will make their resumé stand out from the competition and can give them the confidence they need for babysitting. ​Students will also receive the Babysitting Course Manual so that they can access the information at any time! ​First aid content covered: - The three C’s to an emergency - Check, Call, Care. ​- Glove removal -​Recovery position - ​Conscious choking - CPR - Asthma - Anaphylaxis - Poison - Insect stings - Wound care - Head, neck and back injuries - Broken Bones - Seizures 7 hour classroom session Babysitting Course Manual Provided Course is $75+ tax per participant.
