Powered Mobile Equipment were designed to increase production while reducing the amount of manual labor needed to complete the job. When used properly Power Mobile Equipment is both safe and efficient during day-to-day operation. When used improperly these machines can become deadly in a matter of seconds. The intent of this training course is to impart rules and practices of safe operation to all who use wheeled loaders. This course will not instantly certify you to be an expert wheeled load operator, as that requires hundreds of hours of hands-on operation; it is designed to make you more safety conscious and demonstrate that 100% of safe and efficient operation is in your hands, The successful learner will complete a formal course of instruction that includes both the theory of operation and hands on training with a Wheeled Loader. The learner will operate the Wheeled Loader for a sufficient period of time to demonstrate proficiency in the actual operation of the Wheeled Loader and will obtain a certificate after successfully passing a comprehensive examination on the subject matter listed below: Responsibilities, manufacturers operating manuals, manufacturers requirements, federal, provincial regulations, as well as: - Pre-operation inspections - Starting and testing - Safe operation - Explain why maintenance is an important factor for safe, efficient, and productive operation - Identify the controls and their basic functions - Identify the loader’s safety features and explain their importance - Explain the steps for safe entry and exit - Explain the reason for changing attachments and the use of the system - Know the fundamentals of safe maneuvering, travelling, and working with the attachment - Know the fundamentals if efficient maneuvering, travelling, and working with the attachment Time: 4 hours Cost: $199+ taxes per participant if wheeled loader available onsite, $399+ taxes extra if wheeled loader not available onsite
